I covered just about every square inch of mud and it shows. They are drying on the radiator now, ready for tomorrow's game. This one is taking place between two teams who played in late February/early March. The only problem was that the away team (who are at home tomorrow) decided they didn't want to carry on at half time when they were losing 12-0.
I'm sure the game will be fine, but it just gives me another with a little edge. Speaking of which, I had no game for Saturday and chased up Chris, the Appointments Secretary. He came back with another trip to Baildon, this time for the first team against Wyke Wanderers. His alternative had been another line at Whitkirk but after the events of last Wednesday, he thought it was a little soon to be making a re-appearance at their ground.
It's a shame as I would have been lining up alongside Jamie (Waters) and James (Parker) who are two fellow Heavy Woollen colleagues. Also the opposition were Bardsey, who always give a good account of themselves. They've just about conceded the title they won last season as even winning all their remaining games leaves them 9 points short of the current league leaders, Carlton Athletic.
