This was the first of my pre-season games and was in aid of local cancer charities. Eden Shaw was a local girl who sadly lost her battle against cancer in April 2008. Tonight a team selected from the teams in my local Sunday League played against a local Northern Counties East League side, Liversedge.
Fat Lad was in the middle and Chewit, fresh from helping out at an U-19 tournament at Thorp Arch (Home of Leeds United's training facilities), was on the opposite line from me. The game seemed a very gentle pace and had only a handful of strong tackles. Liversedge scored 3 goals and the away team didn't manage any.
I worked at at average of 69% (84% max) in the first half and 67% average and 82% max in the second half. Overall burn 1065 calories, which is quite low. We did a full warm up before and warm down after the game. We even managed to include a few trademark Zico dips during the game.
Both teams appreciated the help of the match officials, who provided their services free of charge, we enjoyed the run out and £500 was raised for the charities benefiting from the game.
