The twisted knee from yesterday was joined by the DOMS (Delayed Onset of Muscle Soreness) from Friday night's training. I was in a bad way. Fortunately for me, this morning's game was not too troubling and in spite of the knee giving way during the second half, I got through with out much difficulty.
The game was very one-sided and finished 11-3 to the home side who had two players cautioned, one for shouting aggressively at a young spectator who had run on to the field of play and the other for a real striker's tackle (poor timing, poor aim, heavy contact). The away side picked up one caution for a heavy tackle on the home team's top scorer who added a hat trick to his tally for the season.
The first goal came from a kick from the penalty mark and I turned down another claim later in the game. I also played a good advantage on the half way line for the home team and two passes later, the ball was in the net. I felt slightly vindicated!
I burned 1281 calories with a 71% average and 91% max hr. Only one more game to go this weekend ...
