I had an open date for Saturday after making myself available to my Supply League as either an Assistant as Referee for one of the Divisions below Supply level. Unfortunately (and unusually) the number of backwords was very low so I had no game up until tea time tonight.
When one of the other Supply Leagues in my County came looking for "a competent linesman" my name was mentioned. So I've got a line on a new Supply League on which officiating is by invitation only (or so I've been told) but the best part is that the home team are one which moved from my own Supply League only a couple of seasons ago, so I might see a few old faces that I know! I also get to work with a new referee and assistant, which stops me getting stale.
I'm just waiting for the e-mail which gives me all the game details ...
