Training XXXVIII

Cold, windy and the threat of rain - must be time to train!!!

A late start because Fat lad had to go to Bratfud to pick up a computer. Meanwhile I struggled to get changed at work after spending the day dressed as a Terminator for Children in Need. The original plan was for me to sing a medley of Elvis Presley songs on a karaoke machine with everyone in fancy dress paying a pound or two either for me to sing their song or to sing one themselves. With nowhere soundproofed enough (lol!), this plan was called off and it was just the usual cakes and fancy dress event.

Back to the track, Zico had already arrived when I got there and was watching the local gymnastic club warm up. I had planned to do 150m at 3/4 pace and walk/jog the 50m and then go again repeating for something like 10 laps. Fat Lad decided we should do 100m instead with an active jog in between. We did ok managing 8 laps each. i averaged 24s for each 100m run and did 22s on the last one.

I think Fat Lad had one eye on tomorrow's game as I got asked to pass on the message that he's being assessed by Mr Steve. My own fixture in the morning (Huddersfield Town U18 vs Nottingham Forest U18) prevents me from doing any local assessing and taking a fixture in our District Cup. I made a half promise to Jaycee that I would watch his game as he looks after the winning team from my game in the last round play the winning team from Fat Lad's game in the last round. he should do ok as long as he keeps his usual low but efficient profile.

I'll see him on Sunday when he's on my line for our re-arranged FA Women's Cup game. I hope to be able to extract the urine as well when his team loses to mine in League One tomorrow.

738 calories burned, 97% max hr, 79% average. That brings up just short of 3K of calories burned already this week!
