Diet

Exercise without diet is hard work if trying to lose weight or burn fat so I've altered my food intake considerably since starting my fitness drive.

I used to drink around 30 cans of lager at home every week and that has now stopped completely. I used to eat pizza 2/3 times every week and that has also stopped. So have the endless rounds of toast, sandwiches and butties that were contained within loaves of bread each week.

Instead I have a bowl of cornflakes (large) with semi-skimmed milk for breakfast. I have no snacks on weekdays until lunch time which consists of 2 apples, 2 pears and 2 bananas every day. My evening meal is usually either steamed salmon/chicken with steamed rice/pasta or a pasta bake made with either chicken or tuna. Afterwards I'll have a smoothie low fat ice cream lolly. At weekends the intake varies little with an occasional snack of boiled ham or low fat yoghurts. Sunday dinner consists of chicken/beef with boiled potatoes.

I can't deny that I am missing my previous diet, I love my food but until I hit my holidays in August, I'll be sticking to it.

P.S. I have been allowing myself a treat each week and this week's treat is a few beers at home on Father's Day (perhaps). I'll have earned it as I am about to head out to referee a game between two teams of playing from two seperate warehouses at work. There will not be any pretty football on show and I may have to remind one or two that I'm not only the referee but also a manager at work!
