A game of football???

The referee for Saturday phoned me and left a message saying he wanted picking up for Saturday's game!

This obviously means that he's hopeful we'll be on. I also have a game on Sunday but it's an U16 Cup match. Should be fun! Last weekend's District U16 Semi final was washed out around 9:30 on Sunday, so I won't be able to take the re-arranged fixture on February 17th (my son's 3rd birthday and I'll be getting dragged around the National Railway Museum for a Thomas the Tank Engine extravaganza - tee hee!).

I have accepted an appointment as an Assistant for WRCFA U16 vs Huntingdonshire CFA U16 for February 3, It's a prestige appointment so I'm told. I'm very happy to get it but the Fat Lad has a County Challenge Cup Quarter Final. So it looks like it's going to be next year before I get a look in at a County semi or final.

I got my fixtures through for the West Yorkshire Association Football League. I have a night game (under floodlights!!!) on February 6 and an Assistant's appointment on February 2 with Emma, the referee from the FA Women's Cup 4th Round.

With the bad weather of the last few weeks, it looks like April is going to involve games virtually every night for at least a couple of weeks - good for my fitness!!!
