A greasy surface, an early evening appointment to a new league and some lingering aches and pains all led to a change of plan tonight in respect of training.
It was my original intention to try to run 150m at pace and then stay active for 30s before running another 150m and repeat for 10 laps. With the factors above, especially the surface seeing me slipping and sliding as I set off with Titfer, I suggested we just run. So run we did ... for 15 minutes keeping a steady 2m30s pace for each lap and we completed a nice 6 laps before having a 7 minute rest consisting of a 3 minute standaround and a 4 minute active jog/walk around the track.
We started running again, this time for 12m and I completed just under 5 laps while Titfer did just over 5. We both felt worked out and managed another warm down lap and some stretches. Fat Lad went to a bonfire :-)
