Not extra large training but the 40th training session when I started back in May/June. Various conversations took place during the afternoon between the Fat Lad and me and we decided in the end that training in sub zero wind and rain was not a good idea - so no training.
Well that was until I got home and decided I really needed to get out and do some running. I headed to the local sports centre and jumped on the treadmill A quick 5 minute warm up saw my pulse race and I got sweaty - something that hasn't happened since the summer. I decided to try some interval running starting at 13km/h for 3 mins, then down to walking for 2 mins, back up to 13km/h for 2m and repeat. I repeated it 4 times altogether and would have done more if my heart rate hadn't hit 102% of max, so I decided to slow things down and do some hill training on the treadmill.
This started to give me pains in my right calf, so I stopped, had a warm down jog/walk session and then did my usual stretches. It was a hard session with 863 calories burnt in just 50 minutes. Heart rate max was 102% with an average of 82%
