The time had come to see if I had made progress towards completing the 2500m in 12 minutes.
I got Mr Lunch to come down to the track and set the pace for the first 500m. I kept the pace up for another 400m but then began to slow up. I wasn't feeling very well by the time I finished and I suspect have either eaten something that didn't agree with me or I have a virus.
I know that my legs haven't recovered fully from the exertions at the Yorkshire Cup and maybe that was something to do with it. I managed 2050m so I'm a whole lap short of my target with 8 weeks and 2 days to go. Whatever it was, I'm having an early night in the hope that 8 hours sleep might cure me of my ills.
My hrm was playing up as well so I didn't have accurate readings but it was something like 524 calories burned, average hr 82%, max 98%
