More Assessments

In view of my injury, I'm taking advantage (and at times I feel I'm being taken advantage of - just kidding John in case you see this!) of the time off the green stuff and I've got three assessments planned for the next two weekends.

I have a Level 7 to 6 promotion candidate on Saturday, a Level 6 to 5 promotion candidate on Sunday and another Level 6 to 5 promotion candidate next Saturday.

The first candidate I don't know, but I know the teams that he's looking after. This could be a stern test for him and I hope he does well. I'll phone him on Thursday to let him know I'm coming.

The second candidate is a bright, up and coming young referee who's making great progress with the support of some senior colleagues. I remember his first game in the middle a couple of years ago (may even be three) at the International Youth Tournament I do every year. He coped well under pressure that day and I know that he has some great support from his family as well, so again I hope it goes well for him. I also know the teams and they can be a bit vocal at times, but I'm sure he'll manage them.

My third candidate should have been assessed last weekend but his game was called off after the away team couldn't raise enough players. His game is at an unfamiliar venue, with unfamiliar teams in the County Trophy, so it will be a good test. I am sure he will cope well.
