Recognition?

Having received an honour appointment for the District Cup a few weeks ago I was pleasantly surprised to find out today that I had been appointed as referee for the first of the Sunday's League Senior Cup semi-finals which is due to be played on the first Sunday in April.

I'm on my 6th season with the league averaging 25 games each season. I've been recognised with Assistant's appointments at semi final stage and even as 4th official on the junior cup final a couple of seasons ago. This appointment sees me look after the game between two Premier Division teams and I also receive the appointment as Assistant Referee for the final which is the last game of the season. It's due to be played on May 17 which is the morning after I have a night out planned with my colleagues from the international youth tournament I referee at each summer.

This year is the 20th and last of these tournaments so we're having a get together to plan for any eventualities. Hopefully as many old stagers as possible will be able to join us as we prepare for our close season rest with a good meal and a few drinks.
