Just James F and me tonight and I thought I'd keep it low key in terms of training as well. After the initial lap of the field, we worked through the usual shuttle to warm up, then it was on to the hard work. We ran (well James ran, I kind of loped along) for 30 seconds then walked for 30 seconds. We repeated that another nine times and then took a 5 minute rest, repeated the exercise and then took another 5 minute rest before completing the final set of ten.
It was then time for the warm down lap of the football field and a few stretches before heading home. Calories burned off tonight 936 with an average heart rate of 144bpm. Clicking the image below shows the pattern of my heart rate across the exercise period.
