Disappointed, tired but not surprised. We were murdered by them when they felt like it. They contained us comfortably, except when we overlapped on their left fullback and we offered little in the way of threat. If these were the 2nd and 4th best sides in League 1 (based on results not league positions), both of whom were in excellent form in the latter weeks of the season, then there's nothing to say that we can't win this division next season. A lot will depend on the fitness and availability (if he stays) of Freedman who looked like a man who'd just collected his last paycheck from LUFC as he trudged off when substituted. If he goes, Leeds need another link man with a cool head who can bring the resolute defence and the raw power of the attack together. Time for McAllister to re-register as a player?
It's was good to meet Sean, Terry, Stig, The King, Prince and (for the first time ever) the Princess of Tonga and share a beer pre-match. Didn't have the stomach for a post match sorrows drowning one and got home at 9.30. Always next season ...
