Not as much as the staff at my local sports centre though. I've gotten into the routine of going swimming on Sunday mornings with Specks and the small ginger one. When we arrived at the sports centre this morning we were informed by the girl on reception that the small pool had been closed for a period of time following an "incident". No one had to say the words but we all knew what the "incident" was. The pool is used by families with young children to get them acclimatised to water and in time, swimming. So the "incident" must have been when one of these little treasures had an "accident" in the water which wasn't trapped by their swim nappy. The staff were fishing out all the residual debris to make the pool usable again.
Being restricted to the large pool, which was very, very full I had no chance of increasing my 20 lengths of the pool I managed last week. Specks did 14 and by that time the small ginger one decided he wanted to go home as he was hungry.
I went back to the gym this afternoon and did an hour training on the weights after a 5 minute run on the treadmill. I did that at the same pace we do our lap of the field and I found I couldn't get my pulse above 73% of max. I still burned 628 calories and have aching shoulders now. Can't wait to see what training will be tomorrow (not!).
CE was at Staverton for the PGMOL meeting this weekend and he's come back with a load of kit. Look...
