I got a nice letter from The FA yesterday asking for my closed dates through to the end of November as my County FA have nominated me for consideration for appointments to FA competitions.
Last season I was appointed to a FA Vase game (with J-C from training) and a FA Sunday Cup game in the same weekend but injured myself training so had to withdraw. I later got two appointments for the FA Women's Cup and one for the FA Sunday Cup (with Chuckle the Younger), all as Assistant, with the exception of one of the FA Women's Cup ties.
I'm not sure I'll get as many this season as I'm not applying for promotion, but even one appointment can make the season, if it's a good game. So I've advised of my closed dates by e-mail and now I'll wait for the postman ...
