Dad

... is still hanging in there but only thanks to the fantastic care of the Coronary Care Unit at the Royal Hallamshire Hospital.

I spoke to him tonight about his funeral arrangements and now understand his wishes. Tonight his nurse is starting a two week break. He wished me well and said that we won't be meeting again so that's the first time anyone has given a firm indication of how long my dad has left.

He was still smiling tonight and managing a few words, but his strength is almost gone. I will miss him ...
