Training, remember that? Well Fat Lad and I went out last night despite the plunging temperatures and did a spot of running.
Bearing in mind we hadn't trained properly for a few weeks, we decided that we'd do a recovery session after both having two games at the weekend. As always happens though, they turn into HI sessions and so did this one. Fat Lad had a spot of back trouble so dropped out after three laps, restarted again but then dropped out again. I ran a total of 8 laps in a little over 21 minutes. Not a great pace but it was all about endurance.
It was interesting to note that the FA have launched a new Fitness Guide for Referees today and many of the warm-up/cool down and other exercises we have been doing over the last 6 months (or variations thereof) are included in the book. The booklet, which comes in .pdf format can be found here
Last night I burned 903 calories, 99% max with an average of 84% of max heart rate.
