Training 2.26

Tonight was supposed to be the second trial run at the fitness test distance but when we arrived at the track it was populated by small people taking part in a junior athletics meeting.

Fat Lad had cried off training to go referee a game so it left me and Paulie to trail off to the local park to train. I tried to replicate the session that Andy had run on Friday night. We ran 335m in 1m30s, took 1 minute rest and repeated the same distance in the same time a further 3 times. We took a 5 minute rest, then did another 3 runs in the same time. At this stage we did the gruelling not stop run. In 5m30s I covered 1000m which is close to fitness test pace. Paul was around 50m behind me but still going at a good pace.
