A phone call at the weekend from Fat Lad had meant a trip to the home of one of our local Unibond sides to assist him with a game between a West Yorkshire Police representative side and a team from the East Riding of Yorkshire.
It was an entertaining run-out with plenty of good natured banter between all of the officials and most of the players, with just one having a little "pop" throughout the whole evening. The only downside for tank was that he hadn't made time for a little bet on the final score of one of the Champion's League games being played tonight. the score came in at 10/1 and he would have won a significant amount of cash if he'd had his "flutter".
It was eventually a easy win for the home team with the game finishing 7-3. All three goals were conceded from set pieces, two from corners and one from a free kick. The game was fast in the first half and slower in the second. I burned 923 calories in the first half and 729 in the second which is good going for a line. Average hr in the first half was 87% with a max of 98%. It was average 77% in the second half with a maximum of 91%.
Very enjoyable, especially as Tank and I have been asked to assist with a National League Cup game between WYP and Humberside Police. It could be a cracking game in prospect!
