Supply League Assessing

Yesterday saw me make my first foray into the next level of assessing.

Having assessed local candidates for promotion for the last 3 seasons and suffering my enforced retirement from the green stuff through injury, I wanted to offer my help by assessing in my new(ish) Supply League. I was allocated an experienced mentor to guide me through the pre-match formalities and it was an absolute pleasure to meet someone with such a depth of experience.

The game itself passed without too many incidents and the three officials did their job. I then spent a few hours last night putting their assessments together, sending them off for review this afternoon after reviewing them in the cold light of day. Generally I have prepared my assessments on the day of the game however I was very tired after writing out three reports so I may decide to do them the following day in the future.

So I'm awaiting my mentor's feedback before I send the reports out. I'm hoping they don't have too much red font on them when they come back!
